Founded in 1998, San Diego based Mance Creative offers companies and business owners strategic business consulting, graphic and digital design, graphic websites and promotional services.

COMPANY BIOS

President/Creative Director

Michael (Mike) Mance is owner of Mance Creative, a full service graphic design firm which works with all forms of print and electronic media. After receiving his B.S. in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University, he started out as a civil engineer with a national environmental engineering firm. Because of his love for producing the finest quality reports for the firm, several of their printing companies soon began referring him to other clients in need of graphic design services. Eventually, it was necessary for Mike to limit his services to the engineering firm to part-time and eventually he struck out on his own to be a full-time graphic designer.

After over 10 years in business, Mance Creative has many clients around the United States and Mexico. They now have clients in almost every size and type of business you can think of: retail stores and restaurants, financial advisors, engineering & manufacturing, legal, medical and health as well as many non-profit organizations. A few of their clients are: Extraordinary Desserts, San Diego Desserts, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Feast on this Catering, Elegant Events Catering, Tarbox Group, R.S. Crum, Powers Capital Investments , Hill Financial Advisors and Divorce Financial Solutions, Rob Benzon Foundation, Financial Planning Organization (San Diego & Orange County chapters).

Operations Manager

Rick grew up in San Diego where he studied Information Systems at San Diego State University. He has worked in the programming industry for over 30 years. While in college, he started out working as a contractor with a custom electronic instrumentation company. He wrote firmware and PC-based code for custom-designed instruments for both military and the private sector.

Wanting to work more with people, he took a position as Director of Computer Operations for a marketing firm where he spent a number of years developing and maintaining an in-house multi-user tracking system for the promotion of home delivery for a major national newspaper.

In 1986, he spent over three years with a securities transfer agent firm in Portland, Oregon where he wrote and maintained an in-house multi-user tracking system that tracked all aspects of the stock transfer process for over 100 companies. Once this project was completed, he returned to San Diego.

In San Diego, Rick joined the Manufactured Housing Mortgage industry and, for over 14 years, he did everything from developing account reconciliation applications to writing and maintaining in-house PC-based multi-user database applications to track thousands of force-placed insurance policies for the company, saving them millions of dollars per year.

Rick's expertise has contributed a great deal to Mance Creative over the years. He has worked with Mance Creative since its inception, working with almost every aspect of the business. Rick specializes in project management, customer communications, search engine optimization, internet marketing methods, technical research, shopping cart setup and customization, development of web-based event registration systems, web-based data retrieval systems, online ordering systems. He also contributes a great deal of his time to Mance Creative's non-profit customers as well as networking groups.

Production Artist/Designer/Web Developer

As a native of Southern California, Mitch Wilson grew up in the beautiful suburbs of Carlsbad, CA. With a family background in design (his father Doug Wilson is the Assistant Director of Design for Nissan Design of America) Mitch has always had a passion for design, and making things look good for others to see and enjoy.

Mitch attended the Art Institute of California at San Diego where he graduated in the Fall of 2006 with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design. Mitch began work with Mance Creative in February of 2007 has worked with them ever since.

At Mance Creative, Mitch serves as the Production Artist and provides expertise in many areas including Web Design and Web Development, Search Engine Optimization, Corporate Branding, In-House Photography, Print Design and much, much more!
