The Client: ABC Chesapeake Shores
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national trade association representing nearly 21,000 members in the construction industry. The association was founded in 1950 when seven contractors gathered in Baltimore, MD to create an association based on the shared belief that construction projects should be awarded on merit to the most qualified and responsible bidders. Today, ABC is recognized as one of the leading organizations representing America’s business community and the merit shop construction industry. The Chesapeake Shore Chapter represents Southern Maryland, Annapolis, and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
The Challenge: Increase Membership with a Local Flare
The chapter’s President and CEO take great pride in his own ties to Maryland and those of the chapter in general. With a smaller staff than some of the larger ABC Chapters, ABC Chesapeake Shores was looking for outside assistance to help market their chapter and grow membership. They wanted their marketing to align with the national brand guidelines but wanted it to have the local flair that reflected their pride in their region.
The Solution: Celebrating Success and Maryland Pride
As we had with other ABC Chapters, Mance Creative designed a Success Kit to help ABC Chesapeake Shore more successfully onboard new members. This time, however, we created both a print and digital flip-book version so that members could access the materials in their preferred format.
Mance Creative also helped ABC Chesapeake Shore brand their annual events to better market them and attract a larger audience. The design of the Success Kit and all marketing materials reflects the colors and patterns that are easily recognizable as reflective of Maryland’s unique flag.
Mance Creative also created a custom Graduation video for ABC Chesapeake Shore, complete with voiceover, music, video, and graphic elements, to celebrate their most recent training program graduates. This work led ABC Chesapeake Shores to become another chapter that has an ongoing partnership with Mance Creative.
