The Client: Rob Benzon Dan Ferbal Foundation

The Rob Benzon Dan Ferbal Foundation is a charitable organization formed in 1999 by the friends of Rob Benzon to keep his memory alive after losing him at the age of 31. The Foundation’s main focus is helping individuals who have suffered from an unexpected, personal, catastrophic event and are in need of emergency help. Additionally, they help individuals through local charitable causes serving youth and the LGBT community where specific needs can be identified. In 2007, Mance Creative founder, Michael Mance, joined the board of the Foundation to help establish the brand and grow the foundation beyond it’s grass-roots origins.

In 2019, tragedy struck again when founding member, Dan Ferbal, passed away at the age of 54 after a year-long battle with a rare and aggressive nerve cancer and the Foundation’s Board decided to honor his memory by adding his name to the name of the Foundation.

The Challenge: Rebranding with a New Name

After deciding to honor Dan’s memory by renaming the foundation “The Rob Benzon Dan Ferbal Foundation”, the board realized that they would need to update all of their brand materials to reflect the new name.  Once again, the board turned to Mance Creative to rebrand the foundation and build a completely new website.  The new brand would need to be familiar to those who had been engaged with the Foundation from the beginning, but also honor Dan’s memory and reflect the respected institution that the Foundation had grown to become since its origin.

The Solution: A Fresh New Brand and New Online Website Technology

Mance Creative designed a new logo that incorporated the Foundation’s new name but also used color and shape in a way that paid homage to the original design.  They also designed a completely new website for the Foundation with cutting edge technology and a modern look and feel.

In order to ensure a strong relaunch of the new brand, Mance Creative also provided the Board with a package of additional corporate collateral including letterhead and envelopes, email signatures, business cards for every board member, and a complete style guide to help the board accurately reflect the new brand on social media and in all  marketing materials.  Mance Creative is proud to continue their partnership with  The Rob Benzon Dan Ferbal Foundation into its third decade.
